Powerhouse Late Harris Street Ultimo Sydney

Developing our Powerhouse Late magic lantern show with Charles Martin @cpmpercussion and Anna Raupach @anna_madeleine. We’ll be showing lots of old favourites like this one of a Newtonian solar system, equivalent to the mechanical slides used at the Sydney Observatory for science education in the 19C. But we will also be reverse-engineering some 19C astronomical slides with new data derived from Anna’s work on the role of women observers in Australian astronomy, and satellite interference.
